Support Anfrage: Windows update error notification

Beschreibung

Hi,

We have sitekiosk widows machine in sitecaster mode. Every time when windows update fail we will get win update error all over the screen on top of our current site cast. Take a look at screenshot. This is the only window that is displaying over the sitekiosk. What should we do?

Thank you

Hello,

SiteKiosk doesn’t change or configure anything with the Windows updates. As Windows update is running as a service usually all automatic updates are even installed when SiteKiosk is running.

At this point you should close SiteKiosk and login as administrator to check the update state and install missing updates.

Hello,

Yes, I do understand that part about Win update etc.

I just assume that sitekiosk is displaying on top of all windows notification and windows warning etc. This machine is on public display we are not able to check it all the time just to be sure that there is no unwanted window on top of our site caster content

Or am I mistaken?

Thank you

Hello,

SiteKiosk doesn’t block these dialogs and even when SiteKiosk runs with shell replacement normal Windows dialogs will display.
>>>This machine is on public display we are not able to check it all the time just to be sure that there is no unwanted window on top of our site caster content<<<
Then you need to configure the Windows updates accordingly.
