Support Request: Allowing PDF downloads and opening through restricted user

Description

Hello Support,
Our Online Statements vendor changed the way the Statements load within our Online banking Site and I need help configuring site kiosk to work while the Restricted Kiosk User is logged in..

What it was Before:
Viewing a Statement would open a new window and load the PDF within the browser.

What changed:
Viewing a Statement opens a new window and initiates a download of the PDF file, then opens PDF from native Adobe Acrobat

The issue
New Method of opening the Statement PDF can't be done when running from the Site Kiosk Restricted User. This new method works with the Non Restricted Kiosk user but now we have to login manually each morning, causing an extra step and wasting time.

Please advise on what settings I could try. Thank you.

Have downloads been enabled within the configuration? You can check that by going to files and downloads. You can also check the logfiles to see what error is being thrown when you click on a pdf to be viewed/downloaded. If you need further assistance you can email your config file and current logfiles to adams(at)provisio.com and I could look into it for you.
you can also try editing the downloadmanager.xml at "...\SiteKiosk\XML" to make sure that the downloaded PDF opens automatically in the SiteKiosk Browser.
Change <extension name='pdf' download='2' open='1'/> To <extension name='pdf' download='2' open='2'/>

HI Adam,
Finally had a chance to work on this and my issue resolved.

File Downloads were already enabled. But, your suggestion to edit the .xml file (Change <extension name='pdf' download='2' open='1'/> To <extension name='pdf' download='2' open='2'/>) fixed it for me.

In addition, I had to add the pdf file name to the list of allowed sites.

Thank you for your assistance!
