General Notes on Support for SiteKiosk

    When we will provide support
    We will provide support with respect to all aspects that directly concern the SiteKiosk software:
    • Download of the software
    • Installation of SiteKiosk
    • Configuration of the software
    • Updates and upgrades
    • Bugs in the software
    • Installation of the hardware we provide
    • Problems with respect to the hardware we provide

    When we will NOT provide support
    Please understand that we cannot provide support with ...:

    • Setting up an ordinary Windows dial-up connection
    • Setting up your PCs
    • Setting up and configuring third-party hardware
    • Using third-party applications with SiteKiosk
    • Creating new browser skins for SiteKiosk
      (however, on request, we will create the browser skin you desire at cost)
    • Creating your own HTML pages
    • Creating scripts
    • Programming with the SiteKiosk Object Model
    • Creating your own touchscreen skins
    • Creating keyboard mapping files

 

Notes on Updates

    Free updates
    Updates within the same major version of SiteKiosk are generally provided free of charge. For every license you obtain you will be provided with a license key, valid for all versions within the major version of SiteKiosk. Thus, a license key obtained for version 6 will be valid for version 6.0 through 6.9. Therefore, you can always download the most current build of a major version for free and release it with your license key.

    What might be interesting in this context is that this policy will also allow you to implement new features into your software at no additional costs (e.g. if new payment devices have been integrated).

    Updates at cost
    Whenever there is a major version change (e.g. from 4.X to 5.X), you can obtain the new version at a favorable upgrade price.

    Support provided by the software
    The SiteKiosk software ships with a comprehensive Help menu. On each page of the Configuration Wizard, you will find a Help button, providing useful tips and further information concerning this particular step of the configuration.

    Direct support by e-mail
    If you have a particular request or problem, the best way for you to get help is to write us an e-mail. Click here for our e-mail addresses.
    To quickly help you out with problems we recommend to include a detailed step-by-step description on how to reproduce the problem, the version of our software (e.g. SiteKiosk 6.2.51) and the operating system. Additionally please attach the SiteKiosk configuration file you are using and a current SiteKiosk log file as well.
