Support Request: Chrome - no audio

Good afternoon,

I am having an issue with chrome not doing any audio. I am running an older version of sitekiosk 8.9 due to the computer being windows 8 and unable to install .net framework 4.8.

The issue i am having is when i launch site kiosk 8.9 the website has no audio. The webpage works fine in previous version but not when launched with site kiosk. I recall this issue occuring before but i dont recall what the fix was.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. For licensing and legal reasons AAC- or MP3-encoded audio was not supported in Chrome Skin before SiteKiosk version 9.3. You will need to update SiteKiosk to the most current version 9.8 and check again or switch to an IE based skin.

The current SiteKiosk 9.8 version is supported on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 (the required .NET version 4.8 can be installed on both OS versions; usually via Windows updates. Here is information on how to check the .NET version: https://www.itechtics.com/check-net-framework-version-command-line/)

Unfortunately, SiteKiosk 8.9 is out of support.
