Microcoin QL with HW200 Universal USB Interface:

Connecting HW200 to the USB port of your computer
Plug the included USB cable into an available USB port of your computer and connect the other end with the HW200 (port labeling: USB).

      Connecting HW200 with coin acceptor
As a next step, connect the Microcoin coin acceptor to the HW200 device using the included cable (port labeling: Device Input).

      Caution:
Pay attention to the polarity of the plug. Insert the plug into the coin acceptor and the HW200 that way that the plug's pins fit exactly into the corresponding notches.

      Power Supply
The payment device HW200 has to be powered by an external power supply unit which usually ships with the device. Plug the adapter into the corresponding port (port labeling: 12VDC) of the HW200.

Microcoin QL with MF100 C RS232 Interface (COM port):

    Configuring the Payment Module

Note: If you are using the HW200 Universal USB Interface, you will be able to operate several devices at the same time via a single USB port. Please consult the HW200 Help menu to learn more.

      In general
After installing SiteKiosk and connecting the payment hardware to your computer, you can now configure the device with the help of the Configuration Wizard. Select the entry "Coin Acceptor: Microcoin QL" from the list of available devices and activate the device by clicking on Activate.
You can tell by the green dot next to the entry of the device that the device has been activated. Now, click on Configure.

      Configuring connected device
Select under Connection whether you have connected the device to the COM, the USB port or to the TL4 card. Now, click on the Search button. If the device could be detected, you will see a notification in the field to your right. If no device could be detected, please check one more time if you connected everything correctly. Also, please check the power adapter as well (12 Volts)! Should the system, despite all these measures, still be unable to detect the device, please contact us.

If you want to define the coin values used in your country, select the corresponding Country Configuration. After you did so, the corresponding values will be displayed. You can also change these values yourself, especially if you want to train your coin acceptor to accept other coins as well (please read the next section to learn how to do this).
Value refers to the coin value that will be credited after the user inserted a coin. Description provides a short description of the coins defined for the channel, Image file provides the path to the coin image used in the payment dialog in SiteKiosk. You can find the images that shipped along with SiteKiosk in the directory ..\SiteKiosk\SiteCash\images. You can, however, also use images you created yourself.

The coin acceptor is now ready for use.

      Accepting other coins
If you want Microcoin QL to accept other coins as well, you will have to train it first. In order to do so, please proceed as follows.
Launch SiteKiosk. The LED on the device should now glow green (cf. fig.).

      Microcoin QL

Now, press the round button below the LED (cf. fig.) quickly three times in a row. The LED will start flashing, and on the left-hand side of the display, you will be shown a channel that you can train now. If you want to change the channel, press the round button. After you have selected the right channel, throw in the coin you want the channel to recognize 10 times in a row. We recommend you use different coins of the same value in order to prevent deviation. The LED will stop flashing as soon as you have finished throwing in the coins ten times. Next, press the round button once again. The LED will now glow constantly green again indicating that the coin acceptor has now been trained.
Note: If you connected the coin acceptor via HW200 Universal USB Interface, you can also configure and train the device as described here.

    Troubleshooting

Microcoin coin acceptor is not being detected
      1. Check the connection between the coin acceptor and the MF100, the HW200, and the TL4, respectively, as well as on the connection to the PC.
      2. Make sure you plugged in the power adapter

      Accounting incorrect amounts

      1. Make sure you entered the correct amounts for the individual channels in the Configuration Wizard.
      2. Maybe the coins are not being recognized correctly and this is why incorrect amounts are being credited. If necessary, train the device one more time.
