Configuring the Payment Module
In general
After installing SiteKiosk and connecting the payment hardware to your computer, you can now configure the device with the help of the Configuration Wizard.
Select the entry "Bill Acceptor: Smiley NV4/7/8/9/10" from the list of available devices and activate the device by clicking on Activate.
You can tell by the green dot next to the entry for the coin selector that the device has been activated.
Now, click on Configure.
Detecting Smiley automatically
Click on the button Search. The Payment Module usually detects automatically to which COM port you connected the Smiley. If it should fail to do so, please check whether you have connected everything correctly and if the Smiley is powered on. Should the system, despite all these measures, still be unable to detect the device, please contact us.
Selecting Bills
After the device was recognized, please activate all channels that are supposed to accept bank notes. After that, select your desired bank note from the pull down menu next to each channel. Now you can specify the money value of the bills displayed in relation to the main currency. Money value means that you can define the value of foreign currencies in relation to the main currency. However, as a rule, you should specify that the main currency is the same as the currency you can select here. Exit the window by clicking OK.
The device is now ready for use.
If the currency you want to use is not available for selection you can add it easily by editing the file ..\SiteKiosk\SiteCash\SmileyNV4.ini. Open the file with an editor (e.g. Notepad) and add new entries for your currency to the end of the existing list.
