Support Request: Setting up offline start page

Description

I am not a computer programmer. I just want this software to keep visitors on a computer in a museum's exhibit hall to only one website so I'm slowly setting up the configuration. I only bought it yesterday. My question is in the Basic program. When setting up the Offline Start Page, can it be directed to a jpeg and not a document? And where does that jpeg have to be stored? Does it need to be somewhere in the sitekiosk files? If so, where? We are using a Windows 8 computer. With thanks,

You can set up an offline startpage in configuration tool under Basic > Startpage & Browser > Advanced... Local files such as your .jpg file should besaved in the following location:

C://Programfiles/SiteKiosk/HTML ---------> Files can be saved anywhere in the "HTML" folder.

1. Start Page
Choose content stored locally or on the Web for your start page. Apart from websites, you can also use images, videos and various other file formats.

If using local HTML pages (file://), you can also set %SiteKioskPath% as a variable for your SiteKiosk installation directory (instead of, for instance, c:/program files/sitekiosk).

Note that the start page settings for the Start Page browser skin layouts can be found under Customize->Browser Skin.

2. Offline Start Page
Under the advanced options you can select an alternative offline start page if your primary start page is not a local file (file protocol).
