Support Request: Action not allowed error and unable to upload files from memory stick to website

Description

I have 2 issues.
1. When Sitekiosk opens to my default web page I get an Action Not Allowed error without doing anything.
2. My website allows the upload of resumes for the local computer, ie memory stick. Whenever I select browse I instantly get Action is not allowed. If while in configeration and I do a test of the web page neither of these problems is seen.

If you are getting the error “for security reason this action is not allowed”, that means that you do not have downloads allowed under Basic > File Manager or a window or dialog box is being blocked by the SiteKiosk software for security reasons. To allow the window, you may need to edit the settings in the “Windows and Dialogs” settings in the SiteKiosk configuration file. (BASIC > Access/Security > Block system critical windows & dialog boxes)

For testing purposes, you will want to uncheck the option, and test your application and see if it opens properly.

If the above mentioned test allows the software applications to work properly, you will need to isolate which settings in “Windows and Dialogs” are blocking the applications that you are using.

Generally you would navigate to BASIC > Access/Security > Block system critical windows & dialog boxes then click on "settings". Look under the "Window title" column and delete "Open*", "Save*" .

In SiteKiosk it is possible to allow your users to use removable USB drives... Please see the steps below:

1) Plug in your USB flash drive.
2) In the SiteKiosk configuration wizard allow this drive in the file manager. (Basic > File Manager > Add)
3) While in the SiteKiosk configuration wizard, go to Access/Security > Block system critical windows & dialog boxes > Settings and delete the entries; "Save a Copy*", "Save*" and "Open*" from the Window title column. (This step is only necessary for testing in the admin account.)
4) Open the System Security Manager (Start > All Programs > SiteKiosk > System Security Manager) and select Customized.
5) Select “File System” in the tree view on the left.
6) Under “Hide Drives in Explorer”, uncheck the drives that you wish to make visible to your users.
