Support Request: Maintenance Mode in older Version of Site Remote

Description

We have recently just found an issue with Maintenance Mode showing up on our kiosks. Looking through the troubleshooting, I see that there are instructions on how to disable this mode by running a script in SiteRemote, but we do not have that option.

We are running version 5.1.0.2188. Is this option available in this version? If not, how can we ensure that this mode does not activate on our kiosks?

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. The Maintenance Screen can be activated and deactivated via SiteRemote Jobs. The maintenance mode/maintenance screen does not activate itself, but a corresponding Job must be sent to the computer via SiteRemote. To deactivate it, you must send a new job:

-Click SiteKiosk(leftbar)
-Then click Jobs(Tab)
-Click New Job(under Assigned Jobs)
-Select and add Action Type "Maintenance Screen"
-Select "Turn off"
.....
-Assign Job to device

Please note that SiteRemote versions less than the current are no longer supported and further instructions cannot be given due to changes in the interface.

We do not have the "Maintenance Screen" Action Type available to us.

Is this available in our version of Site Remote?

Hello,

If that is the case, you could try sending a simple Job with Action Type: SiteKiosk Command - Restart. And in the upper portion of the Job page you can select this under Options :

"Activate maintenance screen during job execution (SiteKiosk Windows 8.9/SiteKiosk Android 2.5 or higher)"

Then see what happens.
