Soporte de pedidos: Chrome and Sharepoint

Descripción

Using the Chrome engine how do you block a window in Sharepoint? I opened the Sharepoint site on my machine, opened developer tools which shows the Class, and tried putting that Class ( and every other Class I could see) in Access/Security Block system critical windows and dialog boxes but nothing worked. I downloaded AutoIT, winlister, and Winspector but they don't drill down far enough and only show the main Sharepoint window. I'm trying to disable sharing. Are there any current tools I can use to find out the title/class of the specific Window I'm trying to close?

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. You can normally get the window title and window class from the AutoIt Window Info tool. This comes with the AutoIt Full Installation download at https://www.autoitscript.com/site/autoit/downloads/ (Further support is not provided beyond this.)

First you must launch your SharePoint application and in the Window Info tool, you drag the Finder Tool aim on the window(s) currently opened. Now, say this is a SharePoint web feature in the SiteKiosk Chrome Browser itself, then you may have to launch the Window Info tool along with SiteKiosk. Be mindful to thoroughly test this as you can make the browser unstable with blocking certain needed windows.

Can you say what feature (window title) you want to block?

Best regards,
Andre.

Hi, Thank you for replying.

I used AutoIT as well as Winspector and Winlister. The issue is that it drills down to the page but no further. I'm trying to stop the Send Link window from opening. In Sharepoint it's called Share but when you click on it the title is Send Link. I've tried to block by both of those titles and by the various classes such as ms-layer and Chrome_WidgetWin_1 but I cant seem to drill down to the specific window in Sharepoint.

Hello,

You could try three things. First, see if you can find the unique link or web address pattern and used the Surfing Area settings to cancel it. See: https://www.sitekiosk.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?surfing_area.htm

Second, how about trying to write a JavaScript code to the CSS display property:
https://devblog.provisio.com/post/2019/05/17/Manipulating-the-DOM-within-the-SiteKiosk-Windows-Chrome-Browser.aspx

Microsoft may have additional security to prevent this from working but you can try. Third, if I may assume, "Send link" opens a local program trying to send an email. You could try to disable the mailto: protocol in the configuration file. See FAQ: https://www.sitekiosk.com/web/CustomerSupportCenter/ArticleDetails.aspx?ArticleID=550

Best regards,
Andre.

For option number 2 do you have to put in anything special to call the script or do you just put the code into the js file?
Re: Chrome and Sharepoint 06/10/2021 18:48
Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. You can just add your code to the JS file: C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\SiteKioskNG\assets\customScriptExtension.js . It is already programmed in SiteKiosk to activate on each page visit.

Best regards,
Andre.
