Hello, attached are the requested files regarding ticket 26432 created on 1/13/2023. I have 3 devices with Sitekiosk software. For the past 2 months, the system has had this white screen with loading wheel every 3 minutes or so even while the customer is using the device. The system reboots bringing up a white screen with the loading wheel. I await your resolution as so the 3 devices are unusable.

On my test system with the actual SiteKiosk version 9.9.6191 there is no issue using this SiteKiosk configuration. As long as I use the system (move the mouse or the keyboard within 60 seconds) the screen saver won’t activate / SiteKiosk does not restart. Otherwise the Windows Photos screen saver starts

However, in the log you sent me, I saw that the Internet connection is often interrupted at the beginning (applies to the network connection of the system)

[SiteKiosk] Notification: StartPage could not be opened. Showing offline page.

And it is also striking that the screensaver is often deactivated again immediately after activation.

Therefore, you first should check the screen saver settings.

Actually, you configured the Windows Photos Screensaver (in the skcfg <application>C:\Windows\SysWOW64\PhotoScreensaver.scr</application>)
The Windows screen saver settings are user dependent and Windows screen savers do not work reliable with the Chrome Skin.

For testing first switch to the setting “Open SiteKiosk Start Page" and check again.
If that works and you still want to display images you should put the jpg file(s) to "…\SiteKiosk\Html\" and choose them the SiteKiosk Player.

I would also advise to enable the options "Execute logout" at >Screensaver>Advanced and "Delete Temporary Internet Files" as well as "Delete Cookies" at >Logout again to make sure that the usage data and browser cache are deleted on session end.


If that doesn’t help you may update SiteKiosk Classic Windows and check again.
