Support Request: USB Keyboard stops working after Sitekiosk install

Description

Hi, the usb keyboard stops working after installing sitekiosk 8, removing the driver in Device Manager does note restore functionality. "HID Keyboard Devices". When Sitekiosk is removed and the "C:\Windows\syswow64\DRIVERS\SiteKey.sys" driver is not active the USB keyboard is immediately available.

This appears to have started with a Windows Version update, the system is currently running Windows 10 Education 21H1 as the OS. I didnt see an similar entry in the FAQ and I wanted to ask if there is a software update to restore functionality? Thanks Stephen

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. SiteKiosk version 8 is no longer supported and does not work with Windows 10. The best you can use it for is Windows 7 (which is no longer supported). The highest version you can use is SiteKiosk 9.7.5026: https://www.sitekiosk.com/sitekiosk-classic-windows-version-history/ which is still no longer supported.

You can reach out to our Sales Team, sales-america(at)sitekiosk.com , on updating your license for later versions. You are free to test the latest version without a license. Also, please remember this is a Public Forum.

Best regards,
Andre.
