Support Request: Disable/Hide Mouse Cursor

Description

We've installed SiteKiosk on an external hard drive to display a Corporate video on a TV monitor. Unfortunately, when the system is powered on the mouse cursor is displayed in the middle of the screen. Is there any way to disable the cursor or have it hide after a few seconds?

I've tried replacing the cursor with a transparent image but the setting doesn't carry over to the SiteKiosk account and I am unable to bring up cursor settings under the restricted account.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. There is a feature available but you will need a Touch Screen capable display (use at your own risk for non-touch screen displays), the SiteKiosk Plus (legacy product) or SiteKiosk Windows (current) licenses to select this. In Configuration>>On-screen Keyboard>>Advanced , you can select to hide your mouse.

Otherwise, there are tools available over the internet like the AutoHideMouseCurser program but we cannot recommend or guarantee the safety of using such those tools.

Best regards,
Andre.

Came up with a solution. Since this is a display only kiosk, I added a CSS style to remove the mouse pointer for the page:

<style>
body {cursor: none;}
</style>

Hope this helps other out.

Hi Cj,

That is a perfect workaround if your video is on a web page. Thank you for sharing! [Case closed]
