Support Request: Sitekiosk Chrome - Script to kill running apps

Description

Hello,
we use Chrome browser engine and have some Open Office apps enabled in the config to be started.
However, when user logs off the machine with the browser button, it does not close down the potentially opened Office apps.
So I've made .vbs script (attached), tested it under admin user on the client and also works fine when under Sitekiosk account -> open admin menu -> cmd as other admin-> when triggered from there.
Then I added it under startup script for the Chrome engine in config.
The path to the script is \..\Sitekiosk\Html\OO-Kill.vbs. I have also ensured the Sitekiosk account has write/execute rights for that folder in System Security tool.

But, each time we logoff via the button, it seems like the script is not triggered. Does not kill the process (even though it is clearly running from task manager) and there is no mention of the scipr in the logfile, even though it is set to log "Everything".
Have tried also adding .\Sitekiosk account to local admins for troubleshooting purposes, did not help also.

Is there a way to check with what error the script is exiting?
Is there a better way of doing this?
Anything else I might have missed? :)

Thanks!

Hello,

Generally, there is no free support for custom scripts and SiteKiosk definitely closes the EXE you have added at Applications to the SiteKiosk configuration.

But there should be an easier option. The solution with open office should be to add >the file soffice.bin in the Open Office directory as an indirectly opened application in addition to the .exe file of the Open Office component you want to use<<
Also see >2.1 Office applications: https://www.sitekiosk.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?add_programs.htm

This is because Open Office normally uses the EXE files as a startup program to invoke another application.

Also see “1.2 Indirectly launched programs“: https://www.sitekiosk.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?applications.htm
