Support Request: Invalid license key error on installation


I installed this latest version of SiteKiosk on a newly re-imaged kiosk using my regular imaging process and got an invalid license key error at the end of the installation. The last line of the install process is as follows:

SKStartup.exe /i c:\lmvms\startup.xml /l "[Obfuscated by Admin]" /s aaaaa-bbbbb-ccccc-ddddd-eeeee

This has worked for years as we have reimaged and replaced tablets. Can you please help?

Thank you for your inquiry. There could be many reasons why this would happen. You could test it in the SiteKiosk Configuration Editor>>Registration section to get an accurate error message.

Some of the reasons are:
>>You don't have an internet connection when registering
>>You need to run the command with elevated privileges (cmd.exe with "Run as Administrator").
>>Compare the text for the license name and code with any recent license update received by email or online.
