Support Request: File Manager - Customizing

Description

Are there any options for customizing the appearance of the File Manager? Look at my attached photo for an example of what we have. Two folders in view.
1. We have to allow downloads for employees to be able to print their check stubs from our payroll site, so the Downloads folder defaults into the SiteKiosk File Manager, and is the TOP folder in view. I'd rather not see the downloads folder at all, but believe it has to show if downloads are allowed?
2. The only reason we really need the File Manager is to give employees access to our Safety Data Sheets, stored on our Company network. I have permission set properly, mapped this to a drive "W", but when you see it in File manager, it is really unclear what you're looking at. Instead of displaying "W" drive, or "SDS Sheets" it shows the full file path. Can be very confusing to an employee that opens file manager to look up a Safety Data Sheet.

I'm just wondering if any way to edit the folder names and/or re-arrange them within file manager? If I can't rename, I'd rather the "Downloads" folder be second in the list.
Feature works great, just a little confusing for non-technical folks.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. The File Manager is a HTML page displayed in SiteKiosk, so it generally can be customized. The files for the File Manager are stored at

C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\Skins\Public\Media\FileManager

You can freely customize the File Manager there or order a paid customization. You can send project details to support-america(at)sitekiosk.com for review.

Best regards,
Andre.
