Besides i have another problem.
When we close the autostart with the escape combination and we stop the sitekiosk execution cliclink on the Sitekiosk Administration - Close Sitekiosk item, the servicese are stopped but i finish on a black screen page and nothing can be done.
We need to run manually the explorer.exe from task manager to come back in my windows machine.
This was not equal on older version of sitekiosk.

Hello,

By default, SiteKiosk is just using the screen resolution configured on Windows.

But maybe you use a SiteKiosk configuration where someone has edited the part of the SiteKiosk configuration to set a specific screen resolution on startup of SiteKiosk.
You need to disable that feature again.

Open the SiteKiosk configuration (…\SiteKiosk\Config\YourConfig.skcfg) with an editor (e.g. Notepad) and search for the tag <screenmode>.
Below you will find the tag <autoset>.
Make sure that it is set to false:
<autoset>false</autoset>

If you use SiteCaster make sure that the SiteCaster project is set to the same resolution that is used on the Windows system at the client computer (>View>Resolution/Zoom).

Some standard resolutions are available (default setting is 1920 x 1080), but you can also set any other resolution using the custom settings.

We checked the config as you suggest but we have the <Autoset>false</autoset> already

Hello,

Then you may also check the zoom settings in Windows and set them to 100% (even if SiteKiosk normally ignores them).
Attention: this setting is user-dependent and for the Auto Start mode you would have to check this under the SiteKiosk user:
https://www.sitekiosk.com/eu/web/CustomerSupportCenter/ArticleDetails.aspx?ArticleID=5826

Otherwise, the behavior indicates that the resolution of the Windows monitor was changed after SiteKiosk was started.

SiteKiosk queries the set resolution of the Windows monitor at startup and adjusts the browser's workarea accordingly.

This will not change during the runtime of SiteKiosk.

If the resolution of the monitor is changed while SiteKiosk is running (Windows Policies? / key combination in the graphics card tool? etc.), this behavior will occur.

The watchdog background is dynamically adjusted, but the browser area remains at the resolution that was set under Windows when SiteKiosk was started.
You have to find out which event changes the monitor resolution on the system.

The settings for auto start and shell replacement that SiteKiosk does use haven’t changed since SiteKiosk 6.x and there Is no known issue.

It can only happen that the shell replacement will not be reset if you use a SiteKiosk configuration without password in Auto Start mode. But this would only be possible if you replace or change the configuration file after setting the Auto Start mode, otherwise it will be checked and the Auto Start will be prevented.
