Support Request: How to deactivate a licens on a computer with unknown admin password

Hi,

We have problem with 2 kiosks with sitekiosk classic wtih unknown admin windows password.
How could we deactivate the license on those kiosks?

Hello,

I'm sorry, but we can't help you with the password of the Windows administrator on the system, because only the person who installed the Windows system on the computer knows this password.

Generally, SiteKiosk is not tied to a specific computer or system and you can simply uninstall it and reinstall and license it on another computer.

In this case, simply delete the Windows system if necessary..

Hi and thanks for your respons.

Am I understanding it correctly that I in this case can just wipe the computers with an image and then reactivate the licenses without uninstalling first?

Hi again,

Is it possible to reset a license from your side after deleting windows?
We have now put a new image on the computers but when reactivating the licenses that are already occupied on the old installations that are whiped.

Hi,

contact our sales department (https://www.sitekiosk.com/eu/contact/) with the license information to let them check the state of the license. It is normally not required to reset anything on our side.
