Thank you for your inquiry. [Correction:] This can happen if SiteKiosk is unable to access the configuration file due to file access or hardware issues, say the file became corrupt due to bad or old HDD. You can find further unlocking instructions in our FAQ link here:

Normally, you can place your configuration file here - C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\Config (*.skcfg files, ignore *.skcfg.local) - and double click it to launch the configuration and save the file to lock in the location or path of the file.
