Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. IE 11. Acrobat reader XI. Screen saver will not display pdfs when sitekiosk runs - but 'Test' loads the pdf correctly when logged as an administrator. Think this could be a NTFS permissions problem, so have assigned the sitekiosk limited user RW permissions on the folder housing the pdfs (which is in \Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\HTML ... as recommended for local HTML files (just in case!)

Hello,

Please first check that you have selected the “Media type” “Acorbat Reader Files (.pdf)” when adding the PDF file to the screen saver (SiteKiosk Player).

If that is already the case please check if it works in “Run once” mode of SiteKiosk?

If it doesn’t work in “Run once” mode please check of you can display the PDF in Internet Explorer.

In case it does work in “Run once” mode but not in “Auto Start” mode you should check that the Adobe Reader option “Display PDF in Browser” is also activated in the SiteKiosk user account (used in “Auto Start” mode) and that you are able to display the PDF in the Internet Explorer.

Hi Michael

Media type file set to Adobe Acrobat and IE11 has Acrobat Reader as an automatically launched add-on for the restricted user.

Even when logged on as administrator Acrobat files do not load under 'Run Once'

Hello,

On my system with SiteKiosk 8.9 it works without any issue.

Did you verify that you can open the PDF file in Internet Explorer (right mouse click on PDF file-->open with…)?
Make sure it opens directly in IE but not in a separate Acrobat Reader application window.

Hi Michael

I did that, but slightly differently, by opening the pdf file from the IE Toolbar: File -> Open -> Browse then choose all files instead of just HTML files,

Hello,

In that case you may send your SiteKiosk configuration file (…\SiteKiosk\Config\YOurConfig.skcfg), a current log file from a day you tested this (…\SiteKiosk\Logfiles) and the PDF file you use via e-mail to
support-europe(at)provisio.cim

Please also provide a screenshot of the installed applications and a step by step description about how to reproduce the problem.
