Support Request: Script error on hotmail page


Good morning to all,

Since a few days, every time we're trying to log into hotmail, we receive a script error message and the mailbox page doesn't load. (see print screen attached). I am sure that this is a matter of user rights as the hotmail page work fine with the administrator's cession.
We are running the latest version of sitekiosk under vista 64 and ie8, and we have tried to look in the forum but didn't find anything so far. If anybody have an idea... you are welcome ^^

Unfortunately there is no screenshot attached.

You should check if the script debugging of the Internet Explorer is activated.
(Tools->Internet Options…->Advanced)
As this is a user dependent setting you should check it while logged in as SiteKiosk user and then also check hotmail page with using the IE:

Sorry for the print screen, I thought that it was correctly attached but apparently not....


I have checked the debbuging parameters in ie8 and turn them off. I logged with the sitekiosk user account and manage to log in the hotmail page. But when I launched the sitekiosk application and try to logged in, the debugging message reappear. I continue to verify the parameter (with the small amount of sitekiosk knowledge that I have ^^)

The screenshot is the script debugging message of the IE.
You need to check and deactivate the debugging parameters in ie8 while logged in as SiteKiosk user.

Proceed as follows:
1. Set the System-Security-Manager to "Unprotected"
2. Logout from the Admin account and login as SiteKiosk user (default password "provisio")
3. Deactivate the script debugging of the Internet Explorer
4. Check hotmail with using the IE
5. Logout and login as Administrator
6. Set the System-Security-Manager to "Protected"
