Support Request: Public Locking Screen

Description

We have found that some of our customers are locking Windows on our kiosks possibly by pressing the Windows+L keys. Is there a way to prevent the public from locking Windows? We have come across several kiosks sitting at the Windows login screen. The SiteKiosk software is set to autologin and auto launch. They do not appear to lock or timeout themselves. This has happened twice in the past few weeks on two different kiosks. Thank you!!!

The Windows key should be blocked in the default settings with other system critical key combinations. You can check this for SiteKiosk Classic int he configuration editor under >Access/Security >Block system critical key combinations >Settings. Is the box "Windows Logo Keys" selected under those settings? You can send a copy of your SiteKiosk configuration file to support-america(at)provisio.com if you have any trouble finding that setting.

You are correct, the Windows key is disabled by default and I'm unable to lock the computer with Windows+L nor using CTRL-ALT-DEL. We figured out that the sleep button (moon icon) on the Dell keyboard is locking Windows. Going to look for how to disable this. Sigh. Those crafty customers! :-)

Setting the sleep button to do nothing in the power control panel preventing the button from operation. Thank you!
