Support Request: Surface Pro - Windows 10 Onscreen Keyboard

Description

I have a application being installed as a kiosk on a Surface pro with Windows 10. The Windows 10 onscreen keyboard (needed for user input) has a button that allows access to the configuration settings of Windows 10 (that windows says can not be removed). Does your software have any way of blocking access to the setting menu?

Yes, SiteKiosk uses it's own on-screen keyboard and when SiteKiosk is running Windows settings cannot be changed. SiteKiosk will lock down your public computers so they can only be used in the way you have defined. The SiteKiosk configuration tool offers an intuitive user interface in order to assist you with customizing the software to meet your specific requirements. Below are links to the evaluation versions of our software products.

SiteKiosk is free to evaluate and can be downloaded from: http://www.sitekiosk.com/en-US/Downloads/Download.aspx?ItemId=1

We also offer a remote monitoring and management solution to complement SiteKiosk called SiteRemote. SiteRemote provides system information, status, reports and the ability to run jobs on the kiosk. You can update content and receive email alerts if a problem occurs on your SiteKiosk client among several other features. There is also an integrated remote login tool built into the user interface so you can login to the kiosk directly through SiteRemote.

SiteRemote is also free to evaluate for 30 days. You can open a free test account at www.siteremote.net.

Unfortunately, this keyboard option is acting very odd. It appears when the program loads a web page and a form field is selected, it's not loading the sitekiosk keyboard. It flashes the windows default keyboard for a second, then that disappears and there is no keyboard. The sitekiosk keyboard does show when the "escape" key is pressed and the password for exiting is requested.

Added to it, now the web page loaded continues to reload and reset randomly (even when pointed to Google's search page.) . I have to assume it's something with the surface pro, but I can't put more time into trying this.

There are no known issues with the Surface Pro and SiteKiosk 9.6. What do you see in the SiteKiosk log when you set google.com as the homepage and it keep re-loading in a loop? It sounds like that might be related to the keyboard behavior you are seeing? Do you get the same behavior with both Chrome and IE in SiteKiosk? That option in under >Basic >Start Page & Browser.
