Support Request: Youtube not able to play Any video

Reproduction

Install on a windows 8 machine go to youtube and play a video. it wil freeze the first second and then within the video frame youtube will tell that there was an error with the video you played. except this will happen for ALL the videos.

If you switch off sitekiosk and open IE11 and go to youtube then all of a sudden all the videos are working just fine. switch to sitekiosk and TADA!! videos cannot play.

Hello,

I am sorry but we can’t reproduce it here. On our Windows 8.1 system(s) with IE11 the YouTube videos work flawlessly in the IE11 and in SiteKiosk 8.8.1686.

Is there a difference between “Run once” and “Auto Start” mode?

You may even send you SiteKiosk configuration file, a current log file and a short step by step description about how to reproduce the issue via e-mail to
support-europe(at)provisio.com

Then we will test it again.

I'm having exactly the same problem. Windows 8.1 withe latest Sitekiosk version. IE11. Flashplayer enabled. YouTube with default player gives me the message: "An error occurred. Please try again later" With HTML5 player it starts a movie for a few seconds but then ends in a loop. Videos from other sites play without problems.

this behaviour cann not be reproduced. Please send detailed information on this by email to support-europe(at)provisio.com including:

1) step by step description how to get into this situation (incl. URLs)
2) your SiteKiosk Log-file which shows the log of one of your attempts
3) SiteKiosk configuration file
