Soporte de pedidos: Dropdown Scroll bar on a scrollbar

Descripción

In IE11, which is installed on the kiosk, when not in kiosk mode a user using the web application with a touch screen is able to use the entire width of the drop down list to scroll. When in kiosk mode, the SiteKiosk browser does not allow the user to use the whole width of the drop down box to scroll. Instead it only allows the scrollbar associated to the drop down box to be used. We have found this to be problematic with our user base, who find it difficult to grab the scrollbar accurately in order to drag. Is there a way to remedy this discrepancy in features between IE11 and WebBrowserControl?

You can test this in a Chrome based browser in SiteKiosk to see if you get different results. Alternatively, you can increase the size of the scrollbars using the Windows personalization options. If the issue occurs in the webbrowser control outside of SiteKiosk then it will also occur in SiteKiosk.

I attempted to use Chrome, but it had a similar issues (yet slightly different issue).

With SiteKiosk using the "Windows 7 IE8 Skin", the user can only scroll with the scrollbar. Attempting to press and hold on the values of the drop down box and then drag your finger up or down to cycle through the values does nothing.

With SiteKiosk using the "Chrome Fullscreen Skin", the user can only scroll with the scrollbar. Attempting to press and hold on the values of the drop down box and then drag your finger up or down to cycle through the values selects the values.

What I am looking for is the functionality that comes in IE11 which is pressing and holding the values in the drop down and then moving your finger up and down scrolls through the values. I verified that this works in IE11 that is installed, but not with SiteKiosk and the respective skins.

. I used the advice from this thread: https://www.provisio.com/en-US/CustomerSupportCenter/ArticleDetails.aspx?ArticleID=21980

<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" emulation-mode="9999" /> worked, but it also blew up all of my styles. So it was one step forward and two steps back. So it seems possible, I have been playing with the zones to see if I can get that to work, but I can't specify compatibility by page. I am wondering if there is some set of configuration settings that will work for me.

We decided that attempting to switch compatibility for a single page didn't make sense for the larger application, so I'm still looking for way to get the drop down to work and I've been trying a couple of different things. I tested our page in question with the WebBrowserExplorer that Provisio provides and found that our page did not work there either. However, I stripped out all the surrounding code and left only the <SELECT> element and associated data and found that the drop down worked in the WebBrowserControl tool, but did not work in SiteKiosk Browser.

With that compatibility setting, you will emulate IE9 for the IE based browser skins in SiteKiosk. The most recent release of SiteKiosk include a Chrome based browser option. You might have better results rendering your page in that browser. It is not possible to change the IE compatibility view in SiteKiosk on a page by page basis. Can you provide a link to the page that works in the IE webbrowser control test app but not in a SiteKiosk IE based browser skin?
