Support Request: Downgrade emp800

Reproduction

no code available

Description

Well, not sure it is a bug but strange. I had to downgrade an internet point from the coinchecker emp800 usb to emp800 rs232 com400 interface. Ok no matter to find the coinchecker anymore. Is it a conflict with precedent driver? I have read and apply all your possible support but no matter. Is there an ID problem? In sk config I just get "no coin checker of mdb adapter find". Do I need original com400 driver?. Please help me tks.

Hello,

If you get the message „no coin checker or MDB adapter found” it is no issue of an invalid SiteKiosk ID or unknown coin checker configuration.

It is also no driver issue as the COM400 interface usually will be connected directly to the COM Port and doesn’t need any driver.

It applies to the connection of the hardware and is not a bug.
The coin checker is not connected correctly to the computer or there is an issue with the hardware.
(When using the COM400 you e.g. usually also need to connect an additional power supply to the COM400 interface. For the details you might ask the manufacturer whBerlin – http://www.whberlin.de).

You might also check if your EMP functions properly without running SiteKiosk by using the WinMDB Tester provided by whBerlin. What this means is that you can use this tool to check if the hardware has been properly integrated in case your coin acceptor does not work properly with SiteKiosk.

You will find the WinMDB Tester in our Download section under tools:

For instructions on WinMDB Tester, go to:
