Support Request: Virtual Keyboard too small

Reproduction

Platform is Windows Seven Home Edition. I'm not sure it's a bug. I tried Sitekiosk one year ago and now I buyed the last version. I'm using a monitor with a resolution of 1280px x 768px. Flipped vertical is 768px x 1280px. The old installation was perfect. The new one shows a very small keyboard as you can see in the picture attached.
Is it possible to have the old large keyobard in this installation?

Hello,

Unfortunately there isn’t any picture attached.

Generally this is caused by the issue that the screen resolution under which the original size of the keyboard will be displayed was changed to 1600x1200.

But you can add the new PAINTING element in the keyboard XML of the keyboard that you use to change it back to 1280x768 or even 768x1280 (available since SiteKiosk 7.7).
You need to add the following line under “<dockbackground type=…>” into the keyboard xml of the keyboard that you use
<painting resolution-x="1280" resolution-y="768"/>
Please note that you need to add the line twice to the xml (in the part for the “small” keyboard and in the part for the “big” keyboard)

Further information about this setting you will find in the actual SiteKiosk help installed with SiteKiosk “-->Customization (SiteSkin)-->Keyboard Layout”.

you are right: at install time I was using a 1050x1680 resolution. May I ask you which .xml file I have to modify?

That depends on the onscreen keyboard you use. Which one did you choose?
Generally you will find the XML in the corresonding subfolder at "...\SiteKiosk\Skins"

I choosed a TX82-Ultra docked with 3 language: italian, english and german. But in C:\Program Files\SiteKiosk\Skins\Tx82-Ultra there is a file named tx82_ultra_docked.xml that seems to use english, german and french, so I'm not sure about it. Fuhrtermore it seems that I have to add 6 entry of your snippet: 2 entry (small and big) multiply by 3 language.

Solved! I found it. It Was Ultra 6. But both 1380x768 and 768x1380 weren't correct. One was so big to overflow the screen and the other so small to be identical to the original configuration (without your patch). So I tried several times and it seems that adding my 6 lines specifying a resolution of 1024x768 fits well.
