Support Request: Printing problem

Reproduction

Description

We are trying to use SiteKiosk for Web check-in on different airlines. With Scandinavian Airlines we get a problem when the boarding pass should be printed. The window with the boarding pass is opened, but after that SiteKiosk will restart. When I run the same sequnce on a standard PC I can see that the application opens the standard print dialog box, but in SiteKiosk I never see that one. It is not so easy to reproduce the problem as you need a valid reservation to be able to do the check-in. However we have dumped the pages that are causing the problem.
CIFlightPlanView[1].htm is the page which have the print button ("Skriv ut ditt boardinkort")
CIPrintBoardingPassView[1].htm is the page with the boardingpass that opens.
I have also attached a SiteKiosk loggfile and a screen dump of the print dialog box.
We have also tested this under SiteKiosk 7.1.266 and have the same result there.

Hello,

unfortunately there wasn’t any attachment. You might send the information via e-mail to
support-europe(at)provisio.com

Which “Printing behaviour” did you configure (-->Management-->Print)?

Okay, I will send the attachments and the configuration file in an email.
We have tried to use different printing configurations, but there is no difference.

Hello,

thank you for providing the files.

I was able to reproduce this problem on Windows XP when using your special HTM File and the SiteKiosk printer setting to “Automatically Print Largest Frame (without user interaction)”.
I have forwarded this issue to our developer team to check it.

But it works properly when e.g. using “Print webpage as laid out on screen (without user interaction)” or when using Windows Vista (even with “Automatically Print Largest Frame (without user interaction)”).

Therefore you should check again by using the setting “Print webpage as laid out on screen (without user interaction)” as workaround.

If it doesn’t work with this setting you should also deactivate the printer monitoring as there are some error notifications in your log about the printer monitoring:
Printer Monitoring: WaitForMultipleObjects failed with error code 0x6

It might be caused by the name of your printers (there are some special Scandinavian characters in the name) or you can try to use another printer driver.

Please also consider the installation instructions for network printers from the SiteKiosk help:
http://www.provisio.com/en-US/Help/SiteKiosk/basicversion/10printsetup.htm
