Support Request: Home page not on desktop
Reproduction
Very rare (less than one in 600 terminals, less than 1 per month)
Very rarely we have consoles in which the main page (desktop/fullscreen) page is redirected to another page. We track every link the user goes to. Immediately proceding both instances of this issue we see a tracked link that appears to be full of foreign characters. After the link, our main page is no longer active on the desktop; and has been replaced with a linked to page. Pages should never replace our fullscreen/desktop application; however in this case our application is no longer active.
What types of conditions can cause a full sceen/desktop landing page to be replaced?
How can we ensure we NEVER replace our main application?
Is there a specific subset of technologies (i.e. php or javascript) which can inject malicous code, or cause this type of issue?
What are typical failure rates for replacement of landing pages?
If the main page is redirected, and we loose our desktop application, is this an indication of failure of other security subsystems? (i.e. if we loose main page- could this be because of a security breach- and user could then launch malicious java/active-x?
