Support Request: SiteKiosk Will not Run

Installed SiteKiosk software and it is showing it is running on the computer, but it will not display the screen as designed.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. If you launched in Test Mode and cannot close the application, you can restart the computer and log into your admin account again. Try to complete any pending Windows Updates. Keep checking until all are completed. Try to launch again.

If you are in Auto Start mode and connection is maintained, try to send a Close SiteKiosk template in Monitoring>>[Select device]>>Administration>>Jobs. You will need to log off the SiteKiosk user with "Sign out". For other users, you can check the Windows Updates from there. Ensure all is completed.

The exact cause of the issue is not known but you can try these steps and let us know. Additional details can be sent to support-america(at)sitekiosk.com , refencing this post.

All sitekiosk services are running, all windows updates are done. It will not complete any commands from the platform down. THe only way we can get it to a green status is by leaving it in Test Mode. This is not how this is supposed to be function.

Thank you for the update. You are correct. This is not normal behavior but can be possible in domains with security features. You can send more private details to support-america(at)sitekiosk.com, referencing this post. Can you confirm that you are setting Auto Start with a domain user or the SiteKiosk user? Are you part of a domain? Did you place the device in its own OU on your network? (Workgroup has security features too.)

Do you plan to use the SiteKiosk user as your service user? Your answers could help determine how SiteKiosk Online is affected in your network. You would also find logs that you can share with us by email in Monitoring>>[Select device]>>Logfiles>>Export.
