Support Request: Urgent: cannot opening ppt or pptx in file manager

Reproduction

Hi, I am having issues opening ppt and pptx files in sitekiosk restricted user account. I am running on Office 2007 and whenever I tried click on the pptx file, it says I do not have rights or file is corrupted. The pptx files also has no powerpoint icon shown on the file itself. As for ppt files, I can see the icon, but whenever I tried to double click or run it, nothing happens.

When I try to log on to sitekiosk account using normal windows logging(using control-alt-del to login), it is ok. However when I tried to open it during the actual sitekiosk autostart restricted users program, it doesnt work.

All my office .exe files are stored at this directory:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12

I tried look into your FAQ and I think it might be the patcher.xml configuration. May I know which key step number should I change to my power point files and what value should i change it to so that restricted users can open up powerpoint files?

Kindly please assist, I really need to address this to 25 of my workstations asap, users are already complaining...

Thank You.

You mentioned that you encountered this issue at various times. Is this issue intermittent?
Do you know what changes have taken place on the machine since it stopped working?
How many machines is your issue affecting?
Are you using the default download and file manager locations?
Do you get the same behavior in Run Once and Autostart?

Please have a look at the folder access right in the System-Security-Manager (at the folder where the office files are stored.).

Hi, issue settled, apparently we have 2 versions of ms office installed in a single OS which is causing the issue. Reinstalling office 2007 and then reinstalling sitekiosk resolved the issue. Thank you for you help.
