Support Request: Portal configuring

Reproduction

Hi,
I'd like to use portal startpage. I tried to configure the portal but event I save my changes, it doesn't work, the standard ones appear each time. Where are saved my changes ? I saw a file named "links" under portal directory but it doesn't change after save.

Hi,

This is what I did :

open configure (it takes 1 min to open my skcfg file !!! is it normal ?)
choose browser designs
choose customize
choose button links
delete "Airport"
choose OK
Save and quit
open configure (it takes 1 min to open my skcfg file !!! is it normal ?)

Airport is still here !!!!!!

Where can I find the logfile of configure.exe ? It seems that the changes aren't saved and a restore appears each time I come back to customizing function.

Hi,

there are two ways to delete something in the configuration of links in SiteKiosk 8.

1) delete the entry of the link (name and url) for a specific language. This happens, when you use the icon next to the entry. In this case the button itself will not be deleted.

2) you mark the button in the table and use the delete-button at the toolbar at top of the table. In this case the button itsef will be deleted for all languages.

I did these two ways and it doesn't work as I said. That's why I opened this ticket. Does it work with your configuration ?

Hi,

first of all, it is verry unusual, that you have to wait approx. 1 minute to load a configuration file. Even on old Hardware we have only to wait for 10 seconds.

Is it possible, that your computers just does not save your changes or restores old versions of files for security reasons?
Is there a possibility to test the szenario on another computer? Are there the same problems?

Up to now we are not able to reproduce the problem on our systems. Please sent the full configuration file and the log file. You can send them per email if you like. You find the log file at "$(SiteKioskPath)\Logfiles\" where $(SiteKioskPath) is usually C:\Program Files(x86)\SiteKiosk.
