Support Request: Registered machines appear as new every 24 hours

Reproduction

Turn on a terminal with SiteKiosk 8.6 Build 1248 already registered with SiteRemote on a new day and it is re-detected as a new machine.

Description

We have Windows Embedded 7 terminals running SiteKiosk 8.6 Build 1248 that are registered successfully with SiteRemote and show up correctly on siteremote.net

If you wait 24 hours, after an overnight power off cycle, the unit reports as a new machine in SiteRemote the next day. Nothing else has changed between days.

Hello,

We have checked your team (montal-di) but there are also machines having the same operating system and SiteKiosk version not showing that behavior.

Regarding the auditing log the affected machine(s) will re-register when the system has been restarted (e.g. at 4h in the morning).
e.g. 20 0000 2013-04-04 04:00:31 +0100 [Machine] [DI-030] User 's_bryan' registered the machine.

The only way to register a machine automatically is to create an “autoregistration.config” file with the SiteRemote Auto Register Tool and putting this file into the folder “C:\Users\Public\Documents\SiteRemote Client” (Win 7).

Did you use the SiteRemote Auto Register Tool?
Then the system(s) may have any third party tool installed that resets the system on every restart (going back to a state before).
If then the “autoregistration.config” is restored at the corresponding folder the SiteRemote Client service will register the machine again.
You need to make sure that the “autoregistration.config” will not be restored or putted again to that folder after the machine has been registered to SiteRemote.
