Support Request: trouble accessing content on webpage

Reproduction

We are running 8.7 and 8.91 build 3042on a windows 7, 64 bit machine, and are having trouble accessing content on a webpage that is part of the allow list. The company (ADP) updated their portal, and now employees cannot click on the tabs at the top of the page, taking to them to see paychecks. Employees can log in to the portal, and access some content, but the content that they are accessing now, is not what they need to. I have logged in to the machine from outside of site kiosk, and I can get to the content through internet explorer. Is there a fix that I can put in to alleviate the problem?

What is the error you are receiving when trying to access the said page?

What is the Browser template you have chosen under Basic > StartPage & Browser... Is there a difference in behavior when using the "Chrome Fullscreen Browser"?

I would recommend you try downloading the most current version of SiteKiosk released on April 27th 2015 (SiteKiosk 8.91.3042) to see if the issue is resolved with your URL/website. One of the major changes that has resolved issues with especially intranet sites is the option "Add SiteKiosk to user agent" has now been unchecked by default. (Basic > Start Page and Browser > Advanced).

The issue could possibly be related to the SiteKiosk download manager for this PDF. Do the following to use the Internet Explorer download dialog box instead of the SiteKiosk download manager.

1. Right-click your configuration file and open with Notepad.
2. Press Ctrl+F and search for the following line:

<msdownloaddlg-urls />

3. Replace the line you found in step 2 with the following:

<msdownloaddlg-urls>

</msdownloaddlg-urls>

The URL line stands for the URL you want to allow the IE download dialog for. Save and test.

Note:
using the following will enable the IE download dialog for all downloads.

<msdownloaddlg-urls>

</msdownloaddlg-urls>
