Support Request: error when downloading attachement from webmail

Description

Under the sitekiosk restricted user I can not download attachments from a webmail page. (gmail or live.com for example)

I receive the error code you can see in the attachment in this support request.

The following code is allready in my config file:

Under the local administrator user on the computer (run once sitekiosk for testing) i don't have any problems. It's only asks for the usb drive if it is not attached.

The screenshot displays the SiteKiosk download dialog.
(The URLs you added to get the IE Download dialog should not match the URL you download from because of the file protocol you added. Also see “10. Allow the IE Download Dialog“: http://www.provisio.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?manuell_editierbare_optionen.htm)


But as the download (with SiteKiosk Download dialog) works in “Run once” mode it should not be necessary to activate the IE Download dialog.
The reason should be that the download folder is not accessible.

The easiest way would be to configure the default download folder “C:\Users\Public\Documents\SiteKiosk” (SiteKiosk configuration-->File Manager & Download http://www.provisio.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?file_manager.htm).

To put the files on the USB Stick your customers can use the File Manager of SiteKiosk then (USB Sticks will be displayed automatically in the File Manager).

Otherwise you would also need to allow the access to the USB drive with using the System-Security-Manager. Please see here:

Which of the above variants did not work?

Please send your SiteKiosk configuration file (…\Sitekiosk\Config\YourConfig.skcfg), a log file (…\SiteKiosk\Logfiles) from a day you tested this and a step by step description about how to reproduce the problem.
Please also send the information which Windows version you use and which Internet Explorer version is installed.
