Hello,

With Windows 8 it is the same like with Windows 8.1. The used keyboard language is configured on Windows.

But you need to consider that these Windows settings are user dependent and in “Auto Start” mode the SiteKiosk Browser is started within the local restricted SiteKiosk user account.

Therefore you should check the Windows keyboard language setting while logged in as SiteKiosk user.

I saw the warning in the SK config and this is what I did, but there was no change. the captures sent are from the restricted SK user.
any other suggestions?

thanks

Hello,

When using the button in the SiteKiosk configuration tool (even in the SiteKiosk user account) the setting will be opened in the context of the Administrator account and not SiteKiosk user account (you need to login as administrator to the configuration tool before because the SiteKiosk user is not allowed to open the configuration).

Therefore you need to proceed as already suggested.

Haaaaaa ok thanks now this was useful. I didn't know how I could log onto the protected account.
it was the first step to resolving the issue
once logged on I I confirmed that the wanted keyboards were configured but had no way not even in windows to switch between them
finally I removed all keyboards and added them again and it did the trick

thanks :)
