Support Request: Links with boxes do not display

Description

I have updated to IE 11 and newest version of Flash and Java. As shown in the attachment the website show display a box for the website. The Sitekiosk software will not display the box. Could you tell me what needs to be allowed to show this and also is the Site Kiosk based on IE 11 or which browser exactly is being used. I would need to know if it meets the site requirements.

Was this working properly in SiteKiosk before you updated to IE11? You may need to use the

compatibility view settings to get your site to display properly. To do this, close the SiteKiosk configuration tool then open your configuration file in Notepad and search for:

<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" />

and change it to this:

<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="false" />

Save the file then test in SiteKiosk. SiteKiosk needs to be started twice for the setting to take effect so start SiteKiosk in Start Once mode then close it right after it start and run it in Start Once mode again to test the issue.

You also have the following browser emulation modes available with IE11 installed e.g.

<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" emulation-mode="8888" />
<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" emulation-mode="9999" />
<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" emulation-mode="10001" />

The website was changed and that is when the problem started. I have changed the first line but that did not resolve the issue. I could not locate the or the 2 lines in the config files. Are there any other options.

Please describe more about what you mean by "the website show display a box for the website". What box are you referring to? Can you provide a link for testing? Does you site display properly in Internet Explorer outside of SiteKiosk on this machine?

To test the other options you just replace that same line for example, replace "<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" />" with "<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" emulation-mode="10001" />" etc. This would, for example, emulate IE10.
