Support Request: Payment devices stop functioning when connection to a Sitecafe server is lost.

Description

Recently I discovered that Sitecafe can no longer be installed on the same machines as Sitekiosk, so I decided to set up a server to host it. However, when the computer running Sitekiosk loses connection to my Sitecafe server, all of the payment devices stop functioning. When the connection to the Sitecafe server is restored, they will all start to work again. I've tried this using the 'payment simulation dialog box, PcCredit Board, and the surftime limiter as well. Only the PcCredit Board is important, since all of my terminals depend on that.

What should I do, to keep these operational, even in case of connectivity problems with the server machine. Thanks for your help.

Hello,

this is a dedicated behaviour. A good / permanent network connection is required for the operation of SiteCafe because the user will be logged out if the connection breaks. In case that does happen, the user's balance will be restored when the connection is available again.

Is there a way to change this behavior? Because when the server machine has connection issues (the client is fine), the terminal no longer accepts any coins, even when I'm using it without logging into sitecafe accounts. I see no reason to disable all of the other payment devices, just because sitecafe can't connect at the moment. Most of the time, the terminal used without the sitecafe's functions, it's just there as an extra in case one of my customers need it.

Hello,

I am sorry but this behavior can’t be changed. You need to make sure that the SiteCafe Server service runs properly and the SiteCafe machine is always available.

Please also consider the system requirements for SiteCafe:
