Support Request: Certificate error

Description

Hello,

Recently, I installed for a client a PC (HP Slate 21 Pro) with a SiteKiosk Android installed.

When using the default Internet navigator, a popup comes sometimes saying:
"The certificate of the page has an error!
The certificate is not reliable.

Issued to:1.2.840.113549.1.9.1=#1616737570706f727440776176652d73746f726d2e636f6d,CN=muHotSpot,O=Wavestorm SARL,ST=NA,C=FR."

The computer is used for a self-service.

Can you help me to find a solution for this case?

Cordially,

Hello,

Generally this message is from Android (SiteKiosk Android Browser is using the so-called Webview Framework http://developer.android.com/guide/webapps/webview.html)
But to hide that message you can add the URL to a white list (-->Application-->Browser-->White list for certificates).

Thanks for your answer.

If I need to put some URLs into that white list, do you know if there is a pattern so I can put all websites to it? Users saw the certificate popup a lot of times and with different websites so I can't be behind them and adding URLs to the white list all the time.

Hello Jaime,

You even can use wildcard symbols for protocol and URL (e.g. *://*).

But the better approach would be fixing this on Android by using the pre installed browser and checking the certificate settings on Android.

Ok,

I'll try what you advised me to do during the next week.
