Support Request: SiteKiosk Website Error

Provisio Team,
We (Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dept.) are in the process of creating an image of the SiteKiosk software that will be used on roughly 50 kiosks. We are using a base version of Windows 8.1 64bit, installed from a CD with all current Windows 8.1 updates installed.

The config file runs, with the exception of a single website that "flashes" across the screen without the link opening. We installed SiteKiosk version 8.91.3042. The same RRCC configuration file was loaded. We started SiteKiosk and the HR link “ceo.lacounty.gov/mpn” flashed once then blank page. When using the IE in normal Windows the link loads fine.

We previously opened an incident ticket, but do not have the information. A Provisio Tech stated that he tested our config and it worked correctly, so we would please ask for the exact version levels that Provisio used for testing.

I tested this on both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 running IE11 and SiteKiosk 8.91.3041 (current version). We received the original request as an email. I tested this with the config file you provided named RRCC_HR_kiosk.skcfg. Since I could not replicate the issue with the code example provided in the email, I also received the files you are running locally from Arlu Pablo. I also did not run into an issue running those files.

It seems there is possibly a Windows or IE setting affecting this. Are you also running the files locally on your kiosk? If not, can you provide a link for testing? Please check Internet Explorer for any compatibility view settings you have configured.
