Support Request: SiteKiosk.Launcher.exe - Application Error

Description

The body of the error message is:

The exception unknown software exception (0xe0434352) occurred in the application at location 0x75b8812f.

This problem doesn't happen immediately but after a couple of hours after the SiteKiosk software starts up.

What do you have to do to get the system back up and running? Reboot? Do you see anything in the Windows Event Log after this issue occurs? What is the OS and IE version?

The system must be rebooted before SiteKiosk will work properly again. I checked the Windows Events logs and the only system event was a Event 10005, Distributed DCOM error. I can email or upload the error if necessary. There is very little installed on this system other than the regular Windows 7 Professional OS. The browser being used is Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.18015.

I checked the Application Event logs and there are a bunch of .NET runtime errors pointing to SiteKiosk.Launcher.exe and I've already uploaded a screenshot of that error.

I have already downloaded a .NET fixit utility directly from Microsoft and then updated .NET with latest patches but the problem remains.

Hello Tech Support,

In anticipation of your next question, I looked up what version of .NET the PC is running and it's running version 4.5.51209. Is SiteKiosk compatible with that version? The error message seems to point to a .NET problem.

We do not currently have any other reports of an issue like this. Do you get this message in both Start Once mode and Autostart mode? Are you logged in as a local administrator? Are you connected to a domain? What is your OS and IE version? Also please note that we have released a new version of SiteKiosk today. You might get different results with that.
