Support Request: Silent installation additional questions

Description

Hello,
We are looking into automating the installation of sitekiosk ofr our joint customer Deutsche Bank.
I've found this command which is a great start : sitekiosk.exe /S /V"/qn DEFAULTPASSWD=12MyPasswd"
We are going to implement this in a batch file on our internal PXE server.

Is it possible however to automate the following additional things ? :

-exclude VNC installation during setup
-load a specific config file we've copied to a certain directory
-activate the start settings (in other words : let the restricted sitekiosk user log in automatically, right after installation without additional user intervention)

Any help on any of these issues greatly appreciated,
Vincent, Centric

And finally, a way to add our license key automatically during silent installation.
Thank you.

Hi,

the requested information can be found at this places:

https://www.provisio.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?select_starting_mode.htm

1.3.7 tells you how to configure the startup from a command line and

https://www.provisio.com/en-US/CustomerSupportCenter/ArticleDetails.aspx?ArticleID=476.

contains all information on silent installation of SiteKiosk.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. This has been a great help and we have automated the installation of sitekiosk.

One question remains however :

The escape password for Sitekiosk is the first 2 blocks of our license key.
Is there a way to use command line to specify an escape password by our choice ? Or by putting it in the config file somewhere ?

Thank you !

Never mind the above.
This is not an issue anymore.

This ticket can be closed. Thank you !

The following worked for me when running via an Elevated batch file.

"C:\{Source_Folder}\sitekiosk9.exe" /S /V"/qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress DOWNLOADVNC=No DEFAULTPASSWD={Your_Desired_Password_Here}"

Example:

"C:\Installers\SiteKiosk\sitekiosk9.exe" /S /V"/qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress DOWNLOADVNC=No DEFAULTPASSWD=P@ssw0rd"
