Support Request: Icon trouble on File Manager

Hello,

The files icons does not appear in our SK File Manager.
Maybe it cause by our hardware or OS, but we don't know how to fix this.

Have you ever encountered this trouble ?

Hello,

The File Manager of SiteKiosk still uses the IE Webbrowser Control and customers who reported a problem with the icon display in the File Manager always had an Intel HD graphics card.

Updating the Intel graphics card driver to the latest driver from Intel mostly helped.
If you are using an Intel HD graphics card, it is best to install the latest driver from the Intel manufacturer's site and check again.

Otherwise you could disable the use of the GPU.

Open the configuration file you created (e.g. ...\SiteKiosk\Config\YourConfig.skcfg) with an editor (e.g. Notepad) and look for the following line:

<ie9-gpu-rendering enabled="true" />.

Change the value from true to false

<ie9-gpu-rendering enabled="false" />

After making the change, start SiteKiosk 2 times because the setting will be set in the registry when SiteKiosk is started.

NOTE:
Due to Windows User Account Control (UAC), you should start the editor as administrator (right click-->Run as administrator) to be able to save the changes in the Program Files directory.

Hi,

There is no update for our intel HD Graphics but disable the use of the GPU solve our problem.
