Support Request: Startup options and IE

Description

On the startup options page the drop down box will not work to let me select the correct one. We use our own domain account for Windows. The other issue is we need the Kronos button in our current config to open in Chrome and not IE. Pictures of each issue are in the .ZIP file along with config and logs.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. To change to Chrome Browser, you need to select "Chrome Browser" in the Browser Engine tabs in Start Page and Browser. Since, this is your first time adjusting for Chrome Browser, you will need to select the green Customize button and make adjustments there by click options on the left.

Since you are using Portal Start page, you cannot use that with Chrome Browse anymore. You will need to switch to Start Screen as a replacement. As a shortcut, you can get back to Customize (Chrome Browser) by clicking the Advanced button when Start Screen is selected. To edit Start Screen, you will select it as a start page option and click Customize, then Start Screen Editor, then Open Editor. You can setup Auto Start for domain user if needed. Please find steps below:
1. Open the "Start SiteKiosk" application in an admin user (use Run as Administrator for escalated privileged if global security policy cancels Auto Start).
2. Choose "Customized" in the Quick Start dialog that is displayed.
3. In the "Customized" settings enable the option "Run SiteKiosk automatically at Windows startup (auto start)"
4. Disable "Settings only apply to the restricted SiteKiosk user account"
5. Disable "Disable any keyboard input during startup"
6. Enable "Log on automatically at system startup", then click Settings button beside it.
7. Enter your Username, Password and Domain name and click OK.
8. Click OK and follow instructions to restart the computer.
