Support Request: Opening PDF files in "Start Screen" browser

Description

Dear Support Employee,

We have a question about how we can open PDF files directly in the browser in the "Start screen". As of right now we can open PDF files using the program Adobe Acrobat Reader. But we want to open this directly in the browser and delete the Adobe Acrobat Reader program. Is there a way to open this directly in the browser using maybe a PDF extension in the browser?

Best regards,

Hello,

Since there is no 9.9 version of SiteKiosk Online, it is unfortunately not clear from the above information whether you mean SiteKiosk Online or SiteKiosk Classic Windows 9.9.

In general, PDFs can be opened directly in both products without having to use Adobe Reader.

In the SiteKiosk Classic Windows browser, you can open the URL with the PDF directly in the browser (or add it as a Web link in the start screen).
e.g. https://www.sitekiosk.com/wp-content/uploads/sitekiosk-en.pdf

With SiteKiosk Online, you can also do this in the Web page element: https://sitekiosk.online/help/en/Webpage.html.

Or you can use the popup function where you can add the PDF file to your project:
https://sitekiosk.online/help/en/Pop-up.html

My apologies I've put in the wrong product. This was about the SiteKiosk Windows.

My answer also refers to the Windows version of SiteKiosk Online and to SiteKiosk Classic Windows.
