Description

It is strange but sitekiosk just shutdown and computer was working on "Sitekiosk limted user account", after unplugging it from power and just plugging in again, system started it's usual way (sitekiosk limited user account and sitekiosk as well). System was 100% sure turned "Autostart", there is no question about it.

What could be done to prevent this?

Hello,

This is not a bug.

[SiteKiosk] Warning: System shutdown attempt (WM_QUERYENDSESSION). Abnormal program termination expected.
[SiteKiosk] Warning: System shutdown attempt (WM_ENDSESSION). Abnormal program termination expected.

These entries imply that an external procedure (outside of SiteKiosk) is going to shutdown SiteKiosk resp. the computer.
Then you get “[SiteKiosk] abnormal sitekiosk program termination” as SiteKiosk wasn’t closed normally.

This can be caused by any software running in the background.
You have to deactivate that application if you want to prevent that the system shuts down or restarts.

If you are using Windows Vista it is also possible that somebody has pushed the power button of your system.

Hello, thanks for answer...

There's no aby other application running in background, only system resources. Is this possible that pushing POWER button on xp caused this error ?
Or... maybe windows update does it? We have no other application, so I really have no idea what could happen?

Please help

Hello,

As this issue will be caused by an external procedure I can’t say which application or Windows service is the reason for your problem.
The Windows Updates normally won’t shout down the system but install some updates if the machine will be restarted or shut down.
Maybe it is another service (AntiVirus Update?) or a Windows scheduled task which cases this issue?

I only can say SiteKiosk is not the reason that your machine shuts down.

One additional note:
Do you use the Microsoft Remote Desktop connection to get access to this machine?
