Support Request: Bug with Windows Wista

Reproduction

Hello,

Randomly, we have the keyboard is blocked and can't enter any keys for a few minutes and after that works correctly. However, sometimes it's blocked permanently. Only the mouse works. To resolve this problem, we must uninstall SiteKiosk then reinstall it after. Then everything works again. But a few days or weeks later this bug come back... We noticed that there was this bug only on several of our Windows Vista machines. Have you got a patch to fix this bug or a final solution please? Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

David

Hello,

there is no known problem like this with using SiteKiosk and Windows Vista.

Even in the code of SiteKiosk there is no functionality to block the keyboard completely.
The keyboard driver of SiteKiosk does only filter specific key combinations which are configured at -->Security-->Access-->Block system critical key combinations-->Settings.

You should check what else has changed on the system since it was working correctly or if there are any messages regarding this issue in the Event Logs of your Windows system.

You might also check if it happens when you use other keyboard hardware.
