In contrast to all
standard elements,
page templates have a
background layer in addition to the
content layer.
Using the background layer, you can create two-level projects. This makes it possible to, for example, display text elements or images over a background video. In principle, all
standard elements can be inserted into the
background layer, except
webpage elements.
Please note:
The background layer and the content layer can not be edited in their size or title. The size of these layers is determined by the size of the page container. The layout function is not available for the page containers of the page templates.
You can use the
page templates for example to create a screen saver that is displayed when no user activity occurs at the terminal. To create a screen saver, you should add a second page to the project and activate the screensaver setting in the dialog
New page for project. Even after creating a page, you can still then activate in the
display conditions of this page element, under
Event driven - User activity - user is not active (idle mode/screensaver). You can also use the
display conditions to display different pages at different times or you define a page as a navigation target.
You can find more information on the usage of page templates in our tutorial videos.
