Support Request: Access to USB drives for file transfers

Description

Need to access usb drives for transfer of files to a location. Tried to run security manager but get error "No restricted user has been created yet". Running as an admin on computer. Tried to run from cmd and getting incorrect or system cannot find the specified file.
Any other way to change the drive access for a usb?
Can reinstall without system security and get access to allow sub drives??

Hello,

Thank you from your inquiry. SiteKiosk 9.7 is no longer supported, and any features mentioned will be based on the current version 9.9.6744. You can use the File Manager feature in the SiteKiosk Configuration >>Files & Downloads: https://www.sitekiosk.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?file_manager.htm

You can specify your drive letters or folder path you would like to be presented as shortcut in File Manager for easy access. The restricted user is not needed unless you want to use the SiteKiosk user, but it was not installed. Run with Command Prompt: 

 "C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\SystemSecurity.exe" /install
OR (to specify a given password) 
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\SystemSecurity.exe" /install [/user:SiteKiosk /pass:MyPassword12!]

With this command you can edit the System Security Manager>>Customized>>File system for drives you would like to reveal for Auto Start. For domain and other users, you will need to set the restrictions separately.

Thank you. I updated to the latest version and that helped.
But when I am ready to copy the files, I can copy folders but not see individual files. Am I missing a selection somewhere? The folders are copying all contents, just cannot see an individual file to copy.

There is not a known issue like this. Please send a copy of your SiteKiosk configuration file and steps to replicate the issue to support-america(at)sitekiosk.com.
