Support Request: Problem opening PDF using Chrome engine

Good afternoon,
today we have switched 1 kiosk to use chrome engine instead IE engine.
During test we found a problem with PDF files.
We have a start screen page with 4 button, 1 is used for our web app, 3 buttons are used to open 3 different PDF files that are stored on local disk C in the kiosk.
We can open with success 1 PDF but when we close it and try to open again a PDF file (the same button or another button) we don't succed and we see the sitekiosk spalshscreen on the screen.
We can only do the escape conbination to close sitekiosk.
The same config with IE engine works.
I have attached the ZIP file containing the configurations file (Chiosco.skcfg) and the start skin in order to allow you to reproduce the problem.
I cannot understand why we have this problem with PDF files............

sorry, but SiteKiosk 9.6 which you state you are using is out of our free support. Plus the configuration file itself is even older, it is from a 9.2 version.

I had a quick look at you configuration and Start Screen with the current version of SiteKiosk and it worked without problems (though the https link is not reachable from our office). Note that you should put the local PDF files in the c:\program files (x86)\sitekiosk\html folder, to make sure the SiteKiosk user can access it.

i'll send you the exact sitekiosk version we use on that machine.
About the config file with 9.2 version i haven't understood, what you mean?

Finally we will try putting the PDF under the folder you suggested but as i told you that if we use the IE browser engine it works always on all machine.
Switching to Chrome Engine we have this problem, maybe there is something on Chrome Engine that doesen't work fine!

i've asked my customer the exact sitekiosk version and you was right.
They have the 9.2.3595 on that machine.
So, what do you suggest now? We need to upgrade to last version (which version??) and try it again?

there is no support for 9.2 anymore and there have been numerous changes to the Chrome engine since then.

I tested your setup with the current version and had no problems.

Whether you or your customer want to update to the latest version is up to you. You can also get support for 9.2 but it will cost and it will not include a guarantee that your intended setup will actually work with that version.

You can update to the latest version and test first before buying a license.
